This praying mantis was on a picnic table when I found it. I moved it to a pine tree where it began climbing as I began shooting.
I just recently photographed a praying mantis in a field that was just as green as the the surrounding grass. Now I’m wondering if they are different sub-species, or if praying mantis can change colors to blend in with their surroundings.
