The bright morning light streams in through the windows to illuminates this bedroom on a lazy Sunday morning.
I drove by the Smyth County Court House in Marion, VA and thought it would be a great subject. When I came back to take pictures it seemed sort of boring in the light of day. The building itself is pretty impressive but the lighting was all wrong. I didn’t take a single photo that day but decided to come back after the sun went down and found it much more interesting at night. This photo was one of the first I took. As the evening went on the sky quickly grew darker and became black in the photos.
A bright, nearly full moon shines in the clear evening sky.
Seasons Greetings! May you and your family have a happy and safe holiday season and a wonderful New Year.
Here’s a look at downtown Damascus, VA at dawn. I took three exposures and blended them together to create this HDR image.
This small frog was hunting insects in my yard one night. To get the picture I used a handheld flashlight and the on camera flash with my camera mounted on a tripod. I think it is a leopard frog. If you believe differently, please let me know.
The late spring air turns cool after sundown. The campfire provides warmth and a place to gather and reconnect.
