Huguenot Sunrise

Sunrise on the river can be pretty amazing.  With the right timing and a partly cloudy sky it’s hard to beat.

I took this photograph late last summer.  As summer wears on water levels on the James River drop.  By August the slow, lazy river makes for easy flatwater paddling up and down stream.
