The camelia flowers have had their run.
Their work is nearly done and their time is running out.
In a few more days this flower will be gone.

This weekend we had spring-like temperatures making it hard to believe I took this photo only about a week ago. This male House Finch made for a colorful subject with the snowy white background.
Young Hawk Watching The River
This young hawk, perched high above the Rappahannock River was carefully watching everything going on below it.
I’ve had trouble identifying this hawk. I believe it’s a juvenile Red-Shouldered Hawk but if anybody knows differently I would appreciate your thoughts.

I love this picture because it’s completely candid and you can see the authentic happiness in the faces of these guys. Even though you can’t see much of his face, you can tell the man on the right has a big smile.

The damselflies on the Rappahannock River come in a wide variety of colors. I thought this red one was particularly colorful.
